Terms of Service

Last updated: June 29, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Hosttello, operated by [Hosttello — legal entity to be inserted]. By signing up or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Hosttello is a software-as-a-service platform for managing hostels and camps, including booking and calendar management, channel/OTA synchronisation, guest messaging and automation, a hosted booking website and widget, activities/lessons, and reviews. Features vary by plan and may change over time.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Subscription and Billing

Hosttello offers a 14-day free trial. After the trial, you must choose a paid plan to continue using the service. Billing is handled securely by a third-party payment processor.

Subscriptions are month-to-month or annual. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. After cancellation, your account remains read-only for 30 days, after which data is permanently deleted.

Paid plans have usage limits (such as beds, messages and properties). Exceeding limits may block certain operations until you upgrade.

4. Refunds

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Annual subscriptions are refundable on a pro-rata basis within the first 30 days. These terms do not affect any non-waivable refund or withdrawal rights you may have as a consumer under your local law. See our full Refund & Cancellation Policy for details, or contact billing@hosttello.com for refund requests.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Your Content and Data

You retain all rights to the data you enter into Hosttello (guest info, bookings, messages, settings). We do not claim ownership of your data, and we grant you no rights in it beyond what you already hold.

You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display your data solely to provide the service. Where we process your guests' personal data on your behalf, we act as your processor and you act as the controller, as described in our Privacy Policy, which (together with the data-processing terms referenced there) forms our data-processing agreement with you. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect your guests' data and for informing them as your local privacy law requires.

7. Third-Party Integrations

Hosttello connects with messaging channels and online travel agencies (such as the major booking and listing platforms) that you choose to enable. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the respective provider's terms. We are not responsible for changes, outages, or policy changes in third-party platforms.

8. Service Availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice where practicable. Except as required by law, we are not liable for downtime, data loss, or business interruption caused by third-party outages.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hosttello's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, revenue, or data.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your non-waivable statutory consumer rights.

10. Termination

You can terminate your account at any time from your dashboard. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, on reasonable notice except where the law or a serious breach requires immediate action.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [registered jurisdiction to be inserted], and the courts of that jurisdiction will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Any arbitration or exclusive-forum provision applies only to the extent permitted by your local law.
